Lloyd Maines
OYOU's Volunteer & Workshop Host Multiple Workshops - See Itinerary
Few people are as important to the development of Texas music over the last 40 years as Lloyd Maines. As a Grammy award-winning producer and musician, the Lubbock-born Maines has played a vital role in the creation of some of the Lone Star State's most famous and beloved albums. Over the past 48 years, Maines has produced or played on approximately five thousand albums alongside some of the most significant figures in country, rock, and Texas music. In addition to his producing credits, Maines is an A-list steel guitar player and multi-instrumentalist. His work has been heard on countless recordings.
Dana Jones
Mind/Body/Spirit/Writing/Books
Dana Jones was born in Texas and has devoted her life to growing, loving and learning (most often the hard way!). She's been a jack of many trades, a homeschooling mom, and currently spends workdays as an Office Administrator for a commercial HVAC company. In her spare time, you'll find her day drinking with her husband, writing, reading all kinds of books, listening to music, bragging about her grown children, talking with her spirit guides, reading cards with friends, loving on dogs, dreaming of more boots and more jewelry, and doing all she can to throw more positive out into the universe.
Susan Warren
Assistants:
Val Crevaling & Cecily Howze
Susan was born in Texas and raised in Round Top and Houston. She's currently living in San Marcos. Creating art has always been part of her life. Shae says she has a kaleidoscope brain, and has always been on the lookout for objects to reclaim for different purposes. In 1972, she attended Texas State University to pursue a degree in Commercial Art. During college she designed advertising for a local record shop, that was then used in the University Star. She then began working at Texas State University in the Travel Office, where she designed the logo for the VP of Finance newsletter. Retiring after 28 years, the same year, she began working at the San Marcos Farmers Market. The Market allowed her more time for creativity. She later began experimenting with Mosaics and Cement art, and developed a love for both.
